"That's not helping!"
Wayne joined his first serious (ish) band at 20 and was lucky enough to record in the same studios where Idlewild put together their early albums. The resident producer and sound engineer were quick to draw comparisons between the bands… mainly that Idlewild were good and Wayne’s band sucked; they took solace in the fact they were considerably better at pool, apparently.
Musically, he appreciates bits and pieces of most things from classical through jazz and blues to metal, chillout and random screaming, but his main influences have always been classic rock and metal … if they had outrageous hair, played ridiculously fast or struck rock poses without the slightest hint of irony he probably loves it:
Jim Steinman/Meatloaf, Iron Maiden, Spock's Beard, Whitesnake, Dream Theatre, AC/DC, Purple, Queen, Floyd, The Stones, The Chilis, Kansas, Journey… all that sort of thing.
To date there have been no reported sightings or any video evidence of Wayne taking his foot off the sustain pedal.
That is all...
Jovi
WHY JOVI?:
“Always” hit the charts and was an immediate stand-out track… I decided to buy the single, but after hearing an ad for “Crossroads” I realised that it was this one band that had written so many of my favourite childhood songs. I bought the album, then “These Days” and was so impressed I picked up the entire back catalogue.
FAVOURITE JOVI TRACK: A close call between “My Guitar Lies Bleeding in my Arms” and “Dry County”. To play it has to be “Livin' On A Prayer”.
FAVOURITE JOVI ALBUM: These days
